I can’t stand humid weather. I am completely unpleasant to be around when I am uncomfortable with the weather. Thankfully, it’s not really humid here right now. There’s a cool breeze blowing through my window.
If I were back home in California, I’m sure it would be a different story.
Pretty humid. Summer in Florida. Actually, the weather report says it’s just 67% humidity right now. So, this second it isn’t terrible, but if it was the middle of the day, right after a storm, you can see the steam come off the ground sometimes. People pay good money to get steam baths like that LOL. I love it as long as I am not in work clothes. I’m glad we don’t have it all year, but I am fine with the high humidity while it is here for 3–4 months.
I’m in Southern California. I just checked and it said 81 %. Plus, when I posted the Q, I had my warm laptop sitting on my tummy and I had just gone into a hot flash, so that made it even worse LOL.
9:39 in the warm hills of Northern CA. Temp. 78 degrees, humidity 36%. I feel it, normally we are very dry but thunderheads backing up over the Sierras have the humidity up this week. I don’t know how anyone can live in high humidity zones.
In our housing development, you aren’t allowed to use any kind of air conditioning excepted forced air. You can’t have anything that has to go through a window opening.
My only air conditioning is a fan and a wet towel.
@Kardamom Put a wet wash cloth in the frizzer for about 20 minutes then slap it on your face, sooo refreshing. I do this every morning to unpuff my face. haha
90 degrees and 28% humidity here at the ranch.
After an hour of farmy chores, chickens, geese, ducks, donkeys, horses fed and watered and shuffled around to their day time runs, yards, corrals and stalls I am a sweaty flippin’ mess. lol
Morning rinse and night time scrub away the dust and hay. haha
@Coloma When I’m at work(in a kitchen) and it’s really hot, I fold a towel up so it’s long and thin, soak it in water and then put it in the freezer, after about a half hour I’ll mold it into the shape of a U. In about an hours time it’s frozen solid and fits perfectly over the back of your neck. Works wonders for keepin ya cool.
