Any bakery item. Danish, cinnamon rolls, croissants, breads, bear claws, donuts, etc., etc. Oh, and almond horns, Linzer torte, Black Forest cake, St. Honoré cake, pumpkin pie, petit fours…
In Solvang there’s this bakery that makes something they call the Kringle. Oh, my.
And on Maui, there’s this bakery called Komoda that makes the best cream puffs I’ve ever had.
@Adirondackwannabe Ha, I made the mistake of asking n husband this question without thinking that he’s currently bulking and needs to eat 4000 calories/day just to gain half a pound a week. He said he’d rather pick a food to be double to calories so he wouldn’t have to eat as much throughout the day. Must be nice to have such problems!
It’s kind of a pain in the ass. I have to eat a ton just too maintain what I have, I got the flu earlier in the year and dropped 10 pounds in no time. And I didn’t have 10 pounds to lose.
I worry more about cholesterol than calories, so if taking away the calories also means all the other “bad” goes away also then for me it is a toss up between pizza and linguine with meat sauce with melted mozzerella. The linguine dish is a major comfort food for me and I almost never eat it anymore.
I only care about pizza if it’s Vincents Pizza in Pittsburgh. Otherwise I’d take Ben and Jerry’s Karamel Sutra FOR SURE. I love that shit but god you’re fatter the next day when you eat it I swear.
