A warehouse job might be higher-paid than a retail stocking job, because of the heavier lifting. It has the same benefits of not having to deal with the general public. Same with working for a contractor or landscaper.
In the longer-term, a job repairing machinery would probably have a lot of those same qualities. But because of the more advanced skills, it would pay more. You could learn how to fix cars or computers, for instance.
Back to the warehouse job, there seems to be a pipeline where guys start out with a basic job there, and move up to delivery drivers. That would require getting a commercial driver’s license. CDL is in pretty high demand, and the guys seem to make a good living.
