Turn up the heat! If you have two zones in your house close off the two so they are separate and keep where you are in the house warmer. In my last house we put up styrofoam board and hung thick plastic to section off the house. We saved a lot of money.

Close a small room and put on a space heater. I used to do that to warm up my bedroom and then turned it off before I went to sleep.

Flannel sheets. A must have if you like to sleep warm. Some people prefer it cool while sleeping.

Drink hot chocolate. Wear a layer close to your skin and then another layer on top. The layer close to your skin is the magic. That’s why long johns/thermal underwear are awesome.

Remember it is easier to stay warm then to get warm.
