Did stress affected my ovulation and period this month?

My period is supposed to come today or tomorrow, but I didn’t have sore breasts like the usual I get every month this month.

Since December came, I was so stressed in college because it’s finals. My sleep cycle and body clock was totally wrecked, I smoked cigarettes than the usual and my boyfriend tried breaking up with me 2 times and I’m emotionally damaged.

The emotional abuse continued for the past 2 weeks until now. I also caught a cold on the week I was supposed to ovulate. My boyfriend and I didn’t have sex like the usual this month, so I don’t think I’m pregnant.

I’m having little cramps right now, is there something wrong with my ovulation?

Stress affects your body, so your period must be affected. According to your description you are suffering from severe stress, so it’s no wonder why your period changes. Not to mention the lack of sleep and the use of cigarettes.

I’m sorry you have to be through all of that. You should stop smoking and sleep more, and stay away rom your boyfriend for a while. Stress will not only affect your health but also your exam results.

Yes, if pregnancy is not suspected, you should get it within the next two days!

You’re not even late yet.

I doubt stress affected your ovulation, but it isn’t impossible.

Stress can affect just about any part of the reproductive process. The thing about stress is that it has the power to throw your body chemistry out of whack.

I second @Mimishu1995 ‘s advice. Stop smoking, stay away from sources of stress (Such as your boyfriend, if that’s the case). Get some sleep, focus on your exams.

And if you are worried about those cramps, see your doctor as soon as possible :).
