I want to buy a android that I can run apps and play mp3 via bluetooth. I don’t really care about the phone part too much but would prefer some type of prepaid plan in case I decided to activate it.

I basically want the phone for its pocket computer abilities. I am about to get a Straight Talk LG L34C.
Does anyone have any advice about why this would or wouldn’t work. If I am choosing a really bad phone, what would be a better choice?

If I recall, Straight Talk runs on a choice of either the AT&T or T-Mobile networks. If that’s the case, I can’t see why you wouldn’t be able to order an AT&T-compatible phone, get a Straight Talk sim and be good.

Check out swappa.com. I’ve had good luck there buying used phones in great condition. Filter on “Mint/New” condition. You should be able to get a like-new device without the contract. Moto X (2013) is old, but should be fine for an MP3 player or a phone if you need to in the near future. They are about $175 in like-new condition.

I don’t need a sim. I really don’t care about the phone part of the um phone…. I need a pocket sized computer.

I just want to run a few android apps and stream mp3 music via bluetooth.

I am stuck between buying a Samsung Galaxy S III used or a new cheap LG L34C.

If saving money is the goal, can you depend on WiFi and forgo 3G/4G?

If so, you an buy an off-contract phone and pay $0 per month.

I’ve seen prepaid Androids in the supermarket as low as $10.

I decided on the Blu 4.0 I’m pretty excited about it.

Cool! The micro SD slot is a big plus for a music player.

I suggest you to buy Samsung S2 smart phone at cheap cost.
