Elvis was a fine singer – no doubt. But has his time passed? The papers still say he died in 1977, Could he still be alive an hiding somewhere in LA?

@elbanditoroso I live in Memphis, Tenn., and can assure you that the Elvis impersonators, as well as the fans, are still alive and kicking.

Each year, Graceland hosts a celebratory Death Week, as we call it. People from all over the globe flock here for it. The street in front of the mansion gets blocked off. Elvis music is piped out over loud-speakers. People display their Elvis art, impersonators (including children) stroll around, women cry, and there is a steady stream of fans slowly walking up the driveway and past his grave while holding a candle. It’s surreal.

I gotta say the music of Elvis and his impersonators is far better than the auto-tuned crap on the radio and popular in music players, now
