Hair style wise do you bang it up or not?

When it comes to wearing bangs, is there a formula you use? Are there unwritten rules to who should or should not wear bangs, for instance, if you have thick eye brows, no bangs; thin eye brows and a high forehead, wear bangs? Does one factor in the texture of their hair before they consider bangs or not? Why are some people lifelong bang wearers while others never wear them or flip flop between bangs or no bangs?

I have bangs. I have kind of a round face and big cheeks and bangs frame my face nicely. I think they can kind of overwhelm small faces, but it also totally depends on the person.

^ Is that one of the unwritten rules: round face, big cheeks, a face good for bangs, or a face that needs to be banged, etc?

Shape of face, shape of your nose, and type of hair, I think affect whether to bang or not, and what type of bang. If you have arrow straight hair your bangs are more likely to be straight across. That can be harsh on a large narrow nose and a fairly angular face. Side parts tend to look best in that face, and even if the person has bangs, even the bangs will have a part and maybe some wave. We are accustomed to seeing straight bangs like that on Asian faces, although many Asians look great without bangs.

Very curly hair is more complicated to have bangs. You have to blow them straight, or chemically straighten. You can just have the hair very curly in front ending at your eyebrow when dry. A less tamed look. That’s my husband on his day off. I like the curls like that.

Young children often have bangs. Some people associate bangs as something for young people or very short hairstyles.

I have bangs. I have hair that is somewhat long and layered, so the bangs work with that.

Bangs itch my face, I hate it.

^ But if that is your pic as the avatar, you have bangs unless they call that sweep of hair something else.

I have the easiest, long crazy curl. All you need is a salon quality curling iron and don’t use product. I tried to change my avatar pic so you can see my hair but it didn’t work oh well .
