Are you looking at crowdfunding (raising money) or crowdsourcing (which, in addition to money, can involve any other kind of help with the project)?
There are many sites set up for crowdfunding; you should use a recognizable one, like Kickstarter, Gofundme, or Indiegogo (for example). Each one has lots of information on their website, because they expect people are doing this one time only, so every user is a first-timer.
I’d recommend first reading through the Wikipedia pages I linked, then deciding exactly what you want out of the process. You may have to make some trade-offs in terms of risk (i.e. the way you set up your account lets you keep different proportions of the fund, depending on how successful you are at attaining your goal). You also may want to offer incentives to contributors, to encourage them to give certain amounts.
I would also recommend that when you create your profile, you try to make it as interesting and engaging as possible. Include good photos; tell a good story; sound positive and appreciative. And then promote the heck out of it through social media if you can.
