Haha….yes, it is, from she who has been flat lined from the recession. One must reinvent themselves and find meaning and dignity in new ventures. I have always thought our work ethic is over rated anyway, there is much more to life than work.
I really wish others weighed in on this one, but they seem way to busy beating up Dutchess_III on her question.
Seems when a really good question comes along they skip it for some reason.
A society that does not provide opportunities for employment for 100% of its members is doom to collapse. Capitalism cannot solve this worldwide problem. It is dependent upon a significant amount of unemployed workers to keep costs down and profits up. As technology advances, fewer worker-hours will be necessary and unemployment will continue to increase. When people under thirty have nothing meaningful to do with their time, many will engage in behaviors that society deems undesirable.
