Have you ever doxxed someone? If not, would you and if you have do you regret it?

“Great Question” (1points)

I’ve noticed that over the last 3 plus years people, because of what someone has done or said, involuntarily have their information released to the internetz resulting in those people being harassed or in all the cases getting fired. I personally believe that doing this is repugnant and really wish bad things on those that do it. But I’m just one guy. Flutherites?

No, I’d never do something like that to someone else, no matter how much I might dislike them. It’s immature and morally disgusting. I have a feeling that you’re going to get a resounding “Hell no” from the majority of Jellies that decide to answer this question.

The most extreme thing I have ever done is complaining about them to as many friends as possible. I never, and would not, go further than that.

I might under an extreme circumstance.

Call me naive, but I do not use social sites per se. None. Did not think fluther was a social site.
I have never heard the term “doxxed”. @cletrans2col describes a dreadful happening which keeps me from using Facebook, Twitter and so on adinfinitum. (sp) Doxxed sounds like it means sensitive information is made public. Cruel.

I have not and would not.

It’s been done recently by Donald Trump, giving out the cell number of his political rival. Also Mia Farrow put out the address of the dentist who killed Cecil the Lion. For some reason, I feel that doing it to the dentist was not as bad as doing it to political rival.

@dammitjanetfromvegas doxxing is the last sentence in @si3tech post

No. It’s a chicken shit and extremely passive aggressive move. If you have an issue with someone just confront them, say what you need to say and move on. In other words, be a freaking adult and not some sneaky little wuss.

I have absolutely no use for people who go out of their way to intentionally harm others, especially if it involves destroying their lives. There’s no reason, whatsoever, that justifies that behavior. Ever.

If I could wipe one trait from the face of the earth, that trait would be one of the 3 top traits I would erase.
