@stanleybmanly My whole problem to this Global Warming and Climate Change is proponents of it simply point fingers at the source of the atmospheric pollution…coal companies, oil companies, refineries while ignoring the real source of the problem and that is us, people, consumers. There are many not so obvious sources of green house gases that are real wolves in sheeps clothing like ethanol production. Buying gas made from corn is a real feel good yet the carbon foot print to produce it is way higher than it is for a similar BTU of gasoline produced from oil. People want their beef burgers and the millions of cows we raise to get that beef fart non-stop….It has been estimated that live-stock related methane emission contributes about 20% of all the methane released into the atmosphere each year”
Yes, it is us the consumers insatiable demand for cheap gas and cheap electricity that is driving the atmospheric pollution and it is our disposable society that is forming the Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch
I will get behind the Climate Change movement that pushes policies and plans of actions that will implement the real changes we need to combat the environmental damages we as the human race are doing to Ma Nature and it starts with us changing how we think about how we are contributing to the problem to where we are then contributing to the solution by changing our habits as consumers of gas, electricity and plastics.
