To me, some of these people have such annoying voices, patterns and inflections that I can hardly hear what they are saying.

I always hated Howard Cossell’s voice. But that was years ago and he has since died.

I can’t think of anyone in particular, but it annoys me that most news reporters tend to try and put their own spin on who they are…stuff like, “This is Bob Smith for CBS….....news.” Or ”This is Betty Jones…..for CBS news.” They overemphasize and throw in pregnant pauses to make their name and station seem more dramatic. It annoys the crap out of me. Just say that you’re Bob Smith reporting for CBS news and leave it at that. Why all the weirdness?

Susan Herrera on CNBC. She always sounds like she is whining.

She isn’t a newscaster, but she often shows up for news commentary – the historian Doris Kearns Goodwin. I dislike her voice so much, I can’t listen to it. I need to change the channel or turn-off the television.
