I take vitamin D2 50,000 IU once a week and an additional 5,000 IU of D3 twice a week. I take the D because it’s how I keep my vitamin D level up in normal range and keep my muscle weakness and pain to a minimum.
I take about 65 mg of iron daily. I take the iron to keep my iron in normal range, and so I don’t feel exhausted and weak. Sometimes I skip 2–3 days if I’m having negative side effects. Sometimes when I get low in iron I take double that amount for a few weeks.
I take vitamin B12 liquid. The liquid has some additional B’s in there, but not in large quantities like the B12. I take the B12 to stay well into the American normal range. I am at the border of normal for some countries, and without the supplement I go into the grey area of low even by the American standard.
I take biotin off and on for my hair and nails. I’m very sporadic about it.
I take magnesium off and on for muscles. My doctor wants me to take it. I sometimes use magnesium spray instead directly on where I hurt. I probably take it about twice a week, sometimes I skip weeks altogether.
I take a regular multivitamin 3–5 times a week. I’m very inconsistent with it. So that gives me some additional D, B12, and iron, plus the other stuff in there.
@DrasticDreamer I used to hope my higher D levels would help my hypothyroidism. Interesting that you thought about it from the opposite direction. The D didn’t help my thyroid, so I was wrong about that for myself.
