Have you ever owned purple shoes? eyeglasses with purple frames? How about a purple car--or a purple house?
And why is purple a little bit outrageous, at least in our western culture?
I simply do not believe that it’s because purple was once the color of royalty because purple dye was so rare and precious, and hence off limits to ordinary folks. I think it’s something about the color itself. But what?
