The times they are a changin
I wish we lived in a world where “first woman” or “first black” or first asian” were no longer newsworthy.
West Point (and the army) is supposed to be a meritocracy – you get where you are going because you are the best candidate based on your merit.
One assumes that the General Holland was appointed to this position because she deserved it.
More power to her.
Times have already changed, the system just can’t seem to keep up.
The first female commandant of cadets at the U.S. Military Academy was sworn in on Tuesday.
And only aged 47…she must really be an exceptional leader.
She looks pretty stern, I’d obey her commands. haha
