What’s the point? The past is the past. Whatever the perceived issue was, it happened long ago. And I lived with the consequences of whatever it was for a long time. So why dig up old issues?
And then there’s the butterfly effect. Supposing you went back in time and sued someone. And lost the lawsuit. Think of all the things that would have changed as a result of that loss – you can’t imagine how your world would be different. Would you have gone into depression? Would you have committed suicide?
Or suppose you won the lawsuit? What are all the aspects of your life that would change as a result of that? It’s impossible to know all of the downstream effects of that action of reliving a piece of your life.
The one thing that would be for sure is that you would not be the you of today if you went back in time.
