@Cruiser I am afraid the days of bipartisan support are over and have been for about 16 years now. Bush/Cheney ran roughshod over Democratic opposition and forced their way with no concern for bipartisan support. Such a mindset continues in the House and in the Senate. The will of the minority means nothing to the Republicans because they seem to have no desire for compromise.
With that being the case, NO DEMOCRAT will be able to get support from a Republican controlled Congress.
And, if it means eight more years of impasse, then I am for that rather than see what I would consider a step backward by having the Republican Party control all three parts of the government and implement their agenda. Sorry.
@Aster Clinton is not my idea of an ideal candidate, she is, to my mind, a consummate political animal. What she has going for her is simply that her professed views are much closer to my own than any of the Republican candidates. Although, based on that criteria, I should probably vote for Gary Johnson if Bernie is not in the running.
