"The light is he, shining on you and me." Earth, Wind & Fire founder Maurice White passed peacefully in his sleep Wednesday. Care to share a good word or fond memory?

I remember listening to my sisters’ records of Earth, Wind, and Fire. I enjoyed their music immensely.

Wow. I was a kid in the 70s. Earth Wind and Fire songs were played constantly on the radio and seared into my memory.

Especially the opening guitars in Shining Star and and the Stevie Wonder-esque keyboard.

Great memories. Thanks, Maurice!

“If you believe in forever, then life is just a one-night stand.
If there’s a rock and roll heaven, then you know they got a hell of a band.”
Thanks for your part, dude.
And now, it’s show time!

When they hit out wth their first song it was great. That’s when music were bands, and played their own music. Not synthesized. Yes, disco was newly on the scene, yet there were still hits on the ‘Top Forty’ that were truly excellent. Mr. White, thank you the EW&F Sounds. They were good. A school roommate adored you. It was a good thing you made good sound, she wore that record album out! Yikes!
To you, Sir. clink.
