To start with there are two kinds of socialists.

The ones who are like the original egalitarians who thought that it should be voluntary.

And the ones who think the political state can force the notion on a compliant population.

In this context, I speak of the latter.

Bernie Sanders says he is a socialist. He seems to be a nice guy, and he would probably be fun at a cookout.

But if he got elected, how could a socialist get an agenda through congress?. Very few Reps could get re elected supporting a statist agenda.

Even left leaning Democrats would have a tough time with the socialist label.

The president never said he was a socialist, but people suspected he was one and outside of health care [sic] reform, he had a tough time pushing an agenda.

Why do Bernie fans think he will be anything but a frustrated dictator if he gains office?
