Care to share memories of Joe Garagiola - Cardinals player, Hall of Fame Announcer and TV personality - who died 3-23 at the age of 90?

“Great Question” (1points)

I confess that I was a game show junkie in the 70’s when Matchgame was in its heyday, and Joe Garagiola was a great guest panelist. Funny, self-deprecating and unfailingly nice.

They say he was the same in life.

Way to go, Joe!

Ah…and I lose another piece of my childhood. RIP Joe.

No specific memories but he was a fixture whenever I watched baseball, for years. Good guy,

I couldn’t figure out why the flags were at half mast yesterday in St. Louis.
I think it must have been for Joe.
From the obit, Joe Jr. became very successful in baseball, too. Chip of the old block, I hope. :-)

One quote famously attributed to him:

Is ain’t over ‘til it’s over…

I guess it’s over and you’ll be missed

He certainly seemed to be a genuinely nice guy.
