I can only find one tutorial and it’s not much help. The woman talks mostly about other things and touches on the resizing. The video is 4 minutes long, I really only needed about 30 seconds of it, but she kept wandering off the subject.
She said something about turning it into an object, but the options I’m showing don’t match the ones she was using.

Select the layer with the text.

Layer -> Rasterize Layer

Edit -> Free Transform

If you hold down the Shift key while clicking and dragging one of the corner handles it will retain proportions.

YOU ARE DA BOMB!!! Thanks.

PS, what does “Rasertize” mean? It sounds so cool and reggae.

It is the process of turning a bitmap into a vector.

So a bitmap is like if you described a image as in pixels. Say pixel 1X1 is black, pixel 1X2 is black, ........ pixel 1X100 is black.(we just described a line 100 pixels long)

A raster image just describes the same as two points and color. So say something like (1X1—>1X100:black)

This is a gross simplification but should work.
