What is the logic in divorcing your spouse due to opposition of same sex marriage?
In 2015, a couple in Australia, (a Christian couple) threatened to divorce if same sex marriage is legalized in Australia.
What utter childishness and stupidity is this? So because they deem same sex marriage to be unbiblical; they plan to retaliate by dong something which is also not supported by the bible. How does that makes sense?
What’s even more juvenile is they claim they would be “forced to divorce” despite the fact that this is their own voluntary decision. Talk about playing the victim!
And in an interesting twist, latter on that same year; it turned out that due to a legal technicality, they will most likely not be granted a divorce. Legally speaking, you and your spouse are required to be separated for 12 months to qualify for a divorce. This is something the Australian couple do not plan to do. So it seems that their revenge divorce plan, wii not be followed through.
