Well… so far (because after inspection of the finished job, my husband discovered part of the roof is held on by one screw and other parts have barely been screwed down), it has taken them 43 hours.
Thankfully we are not paying for this work. It’s an insurance job. The man who was contracted subbied the work to other contractors and they have so far taken 43 hours to erect the Taj MaShed. So, mostly as a bit of fun, I wondered how long people would estimate it should take to erect such a building. It replaces a secondhand shed that was destroyed during a storm. My husband and son put the previous shed up in just over a day – and it was a secondhand job, with no instructions and missing screws etc.
My husband has advised the person who is paying them for the work they’ve done. They are ripping the poor guy off. Had we been paying, after the first day’s inactivity, I’d have taken a fold-up chair out there and sat on it doing my work so I could keep an eye on them.
