Yes. Highlight a cell, then drag it down (highlighting) for the needed number of rows. Then select insert rows. It will insert the number of rows highlighted.
Go to the left column (the preset column with all the row numbers, before Column A).
Left-click on the row where’d you’d like to insert.
Drag your cursor down for as many rows as you’d like to add. Don’t worry about highlighting rows that already contain data; those rows won’t be affected.
Insert, either by right-clicking or by going to Home/Insert.
The new rows will appear above where you’d originally placed your cursor (the top of the highlighted rows).
I would probably just go with redo. Do the action you want repeated and then tap CTRL – Y until you have enough lines inserted. Admittedly it’s a very sloppy way of doing it and purists could probably give you a dozen reasons why you shouldnt do it that way. But it works and it’s fast. Ish.
When I was teaching at the jail, the first thing new students had to do was write a little autobiography. At some point I’d go up to them, ctrlA to highlight the whole document then hit some random key. Of course everything they’d done was GONE! It was shocking!
I’d say, “Now I’m going to teach one of the most important keys there is.”
CtrlZ…and it’s back!
