I think liberals—and that’s most of you here—are really misjudging Trump. It’s a misjudgment coloured by an antipathy toward him, which I can appreciate.
Trump tweets for attention. He says things for attention.
He’s not getting “angry” or “baited”—quite the opposite. He’s the one baiting you.
Trump has barely spent a cent on his campaign, and here he is again—getting massive amounts of free publicity. And in doing so, he gets to repeat anti-Hillary slogans and soundbites, and reminds more and more people of how “crooked” she is.
The fact that all of the criticisms of Trump come from the liberal establishment and liberal media— which has been complicit in manipulation and deceit in the contest for the Democratic nominee—lacks any sort of credibility outside of Hillary’s fanbase, and could well have the opposite to its intended effect.
I’m still unsure whether Trump is just an accidental genius, blindly bumbling through his campaign and just happening to be the right sort of candidate (to succeed) in this moment in history in —or whether he’s genuinely brilliant—but I’m increasingly confident of his chances of winning the presidency.
