If it were me I’d be very hesitant to do that. Suede is leather and any type of heat (no matter how low) is a really bad idea for leather of any kind, especially suede.
The dryer method is commonly used for sneakers, usually canvas, and works fine there.
For suede, almost Any type of brush would be preferable to moisture of any type at all. You’re dealing with a nap which is easily flattened or plastered down by moisture of any kind.
But don’t just take my word for it. There must be some type of shoemaker, shoe repairer in your area (even if it’s just someone who usually replaces heels or builds up worn edges).
They generally know about shoes of all types. It would be worth a few minute phone call, imho.
