My doctor told me not to push myself too hard; is he right?

WTF? I thought I was relaxing? What should I do or now do? He said that my pushing my self is temporarily reducing my ability to read and I should eat more salt when dizzy.

Were you honest with them when discussing your level of activity?

@johnpowell He gave me a physical. I didn’t lie to him. I didn’t have time to tell every thing. He is my regular doctor. My psychologist suggested Pokémon go. I went for more walks and started conversations with other users. I’m level 7 in 4 days.

Okay, good. I just wanted to make sure you don’t lie to your doctor as much as I lie to mine.

It sounds like he’s concerned about your electrolyte levels in the hot summer sun.

After all, I can think of many months of the year other than August to begin more strenuous physical exertion (like Oct. or Nov. for instance.)

When you are on your Pokemon adventures, are you keeping yourself well hydrated? Do you carry water with you?

Because he’s suggesting more salt, I’m suspecting he’s concerned about you becoming dehydrated.

Why not give him a call and ask him to clarify his concerns?

If it’s true that you went from virtual inertia to Pokémon Go level 7 in 4 days, that’s likely what he’s referring to.

Adjust yourself to the taste of warm sports drinks, such as Gatorade, and carry one.

I agree with the Gatorade suggestion. It is mostly salt and sugar.

I have a 32 ounce bottle on my desk and it has 160mg of sodium in it. 7% of what is recommended per day.

Gatorade is what gets me going when I am so sick I vomit the water I drink.

It’s not a bad idea to call the doctor back and ask what he/she means by not pushing yourself.
