I liked Ross Perot back when he ran for president, mainly because he was for dumping out a lot of the establishment and simplifying the tax code.
He had me calling myself a libertarian environmentalist for a while, before I heard of libertarians who want to abolish what regulations we have that protect the environment and the people from corporate exploitation. Since then, I’ve not heard of any libertarian who was willing to protect the planet from corporations, so I have had to avoid the label libertarian, even though I would like a simpler tax code, and the removal of many laws that mess with personal liberty but seem to serve little or no justified purpose. Corporations are clearly not people, nor do for-profit corporations have the good of people in mind, so I am for their regulation to protect everyone/everything else.
