“Great Question” (3points)

Did you find it interesting enough? Was the end as per your expectations or it could have been better?

Please be specific about which book you are asking about.

I have read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and found it a fitting end to the 7 book series.

We just got Harpy Potter and the Cursed Child, which came out a few weeks ago, and is a sequel taking place when Harry has his own kids, and I am waiting for my son to finish it so I can read it.

Yup.. I’m talking about “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”.

No, because the two biggest Harry Potter fans in my office read it and had a lot of issues with it (I’m talking people with Harry Potter tattoos).

They describe it as “mediocre fanfic” quality.

Yes, I have read The Cursed Child. I even asked a question here last week, but I think it’s an orphan.

My question, which has a spoiler, is here

Yes. I enjoyed it.

Just finished it. My expectations were low, given that it’s not a novel and not by Rowling. I enjoyed it well enough. There was a fair amount of suspense and the right amount of “Awww” moments. I didn’t particularly like the way Ron was written, but you can’t have everything.

To be honest, the James Potter series fan fiction by G. Norman Lippert was much more entertaining, but I enjoyed “The Cursed Child” nonetheless.

Two children from different authors.. that’s interesting..)

@imrainmaker The James Potter series are free downloads. Couldn’t possibly be good, right?

I read all 4 novels and the 2 spin-off novels.

Can’t comment till I read..who said free thing are bad?

SABOTEUR's avatar

Not that I believed free things were bad; it was the fact that these free downloads were stories based on beloved characters created by another author. Forget about the seeming lack of integrity…no one could write about the wizarding world of Harry Potter but J.K. Rowling, except…

…he did. And he did so…in my humble opinion… exceeding well. The only complaint I might have about the series is the author stopped writing the friggin thing after book 4! He left us in limbo when he got the crazy idea to write stories not based on J.K. Rowling’s characters…

…to get paid.
