Fans of country, I would like to pick your brains. I discovered “Jolene” recently and then “Bargain Store”. I had no idea Dolly Parton was so good. What other songs of hers might I enjoy, based on those two? (Example of one of her songs that didn’t click: “Joshua”)

More broadly, care to suggest more country I might be able to get into? I like some older stuff – lots of Johnny Cash and John Prine, “Big Iron” by Marty Robbins…that’s about it. I love folk and bluegrass, so country that bleeds a bit into those genres might be good. Not so much into the current trend of “pop” country, but I’m sure there are modern artists I haven’t heard of who fall outside that trend.
