I like cats better than dogs, so the pussy bot would be my choice. All the joys of a cat, no litter box to clean. haha If I dd get a dog bot I’d order the barkless bot. lol

Well…obviously we would prefer our real, warm and cuddly pets, but, the Q. is about what kind of bot pet we would prefer, dog or cat.

What complex tasks can the dogbots perform? (Real-life dogs make me smile and laugh, two things that don’t come to me easily these days.)

I was typing this question up the other day and must have inadvertently submitted it without much editing of the body details. Just imagine for yourself the strengths and weaknesses of either. Of course, you COULD program your catbot to act like dogbot…that’s an interesting thought.

Would you want them to be able to speak?

Would you want them to act almost exactly like the real thing, excluding feeding, and waste.?

I think what I was describing for the dogbot was going to be an attempt to flesh out the difference between a dogs demeanor and a cats, with cats being more independent and disinterested in your activities, and dogbots being more engaging and therefore more apt to complete “complex” tasks… the more obedient of the two…

(I like the ellipsis, they are the “uh” of typing, y’know what I mean??)

My big male tuxedo Ragdoll “Myles” is more dog than cat. he rolls over for belly rubs and is Mr. in your face, I NEED you. Like a dog. I call him “Cocker Spaniel man.” lol

My female Siamese is quite dog like too, she comes when you call ( something Myles does not do, at all, he is the king of the “ignore” command.) She takes walks with me all over this property of 12 acres and stays close. It is so cute, after we make the big circle around and get back to the little breezeway trail that separates the big yards and pond from the horse paddocks she bolts ahead and runs home. haha
I have also had other cats that take walks with you and several that played fetch.

I have also had a few dogs in my life that I have loved but dogs are so high maintenance I prefer cats only in my middle age now.
