Only if you are making some sort of mechanical religion. Canonical refers to something to do with religious documents or law.

Your formula has no unit of distance or of circular movement.

@zenvelo actually, I looked it up and canonical can also mean: Mathematics. (of an equation, coordinate, etc.) in simplest or standard form.

@Stinley Thank you! I looked it up also, to see if I was missing a nuance I was unaware of, but the dictionary I used did not have that.
