@cazzie . I have a new lock screen on my phone that shows news stories. I usually read news on yahoo, or Huffington Post, Time, News Week etc.
I read lots of articles about space and science, so I guess my phone thought I would like to read the article about the darkness. So ,although I can’t remember the source , it appeared valid at first because it showed up in my “news. ”
I haven’t used the app for long. Now I know some stories are possibly wrong. (Which is disappointing. ) The headline of the article stated NASA as it’s source.
I looked it up on u-tube,and it popped right up.
The basic concept was that large amounts of hydrogen were going to be pulled from Jupiter by another planet. When the hydrogen drifted into the Sun it would cause a massive explosion, temporarily dimming the Sun to a dark blue for 14 or 15 days. It seemed far fetched, but feasible to me,if not odd. But I smelled something weird, so I asked Fluther. I figured the truth would turn up here…
For future reference, I cannot link things on my phone. @Dutchess_III was trying to walk me through the process, and we seemed to come to the conclusion that it wasn’t possible for me….
