You’re deep in disco territory!
I agree with @chyna, the Bee Gees and Stayin’ Alive, How deep is your love, Boney M were big too. They had a number of hits during this period – The Rivers of Babylon, Rasputin. Eruption’s I can’t stand the rain. This was also the era of Grease! You’re the one that I want .. oooh oooh ohh…and Summer Nights.
Other really popular songs were Mull of Kintyre and With a little love by Wings, Gerry Rafferty’s Baker Street (I loved that one), Kate Bush, Wuthering, wuthering heights—heathcliff!!! Blondie and Denis. The Commodores, you’re once, twice, three times a ladyyyyyyy….Justin Hayward’s Forever Autumn (theme from War of the Worlds), Rod Stewart – Hot lips. And another favourite of mine, Bill Withers – Lovely Day.
There are so many great hits from this period and so many truly, truly awful songs. I’ve listed good and bad examples here.
