Was the law changed so that only a simple majority is required to bar filibuster for bills, or just for Supreme Court nominations? It’s a big deal either way, but if it affects bills too, this could have huge implications. They’d be able to pass the AHCA if they tried again, for example.
Oh, also, I think it’s crazy that they can just change the rules for approval if they don’t like the fact that they couldn’t get approval. That’s absurd. It’s unfortunate that the Democrats set the standard by doing something similar in 2013.
