Do you currently work for a tutoring company or do you tutor independently? If you are currently working on your own, you will make much less per hour working for someone else.
One thing to consider is how steady the work is that the company can provide. I work for Tutor dot com. You can select hour long time slots a week in advance, but the slots fill up fairly quickly. Even if you have a time slot reserved, there is no guarantee that students will be available.
As for the tutoring experience, it is certainly more convenient to tutor from your computer, but there is a certain directness that is lost as compared to doing in person tutoring.
If it is possible, try the online tutoring working part-time and see what you think of it.
