So becoming a Christian caused you see things that don’t exist to the rest of us? And these are planes and helicopters that magically show up from bright lights?

Allow me to suggest that:

1) Christianity is unlikely to cause these sorts of visions and near hallucinations. Either there is a rational reason of these or you are imagining them. Anything is possible, but there needs to be some proof or repeatability to take this seriously

2) DO you live anywhere near any known military facilities?

I have not experienced this, but I will ask you — do you know of all the airports in your state? Aside from large commercial ones, there’s small municipal, private, military. These planes could be landing and taking off from those.

Also, as someone who spent some time at airports growing up (my dad was in aviation), I will tell you that all aircraft appear as lights in the distance.

Yes, but flying on schedule every weekday at the same time at night along the same route. Its like they are doing rounds. And for this long? I live in San Antonio if that helps. Ive also seen stars in the sky float around, hovering left and right, and then slowly take off in the distance. Its amazing and scary at the same time. I dont know whats going on. And no I do not do drugs or drink, nor am I crazy or stupid. Its a little unsettling to tell the truth.

Yes, aircraft come and go on a regular schedule. That is all part of air traffic control. Really nothing to worry about, I assure you.

Also, a quick google search shows no less than 8 airports near San Antonio. One is an air force base which, I suspect has all manner of aircraft — maybe even VTOL models, which can appear to float, then take off.

You can zoom in on your geographical area and track flights – by carrier, flight number and destination – including current headings and near-present-time location and altitude, and even review the squawks (distress calls) that are made from time to time. (No, you can’t listen in, but you can review the transcribed calls.)

Right now within about 20 miles of SAT I’m seeing three commercial and one likely private flights. In addition, also within about a 30-mile radius there are something like a half-dozen identified commercial air fields, and I don’t even know how many military. San Antonio is a military hub, and while I don’t track military training exercises, Texas is a popular place for that because of relatively low population density in much of the state.

I don’t know if FlightAware tracks every plane’s every turn, but if there’s a holding pattern around the airport, as there is likely to be at busy times or times when weather disturbances cause problems, then planes often fly in wide circles around the airport waiting for their chance to land.

It ain’ no thang.

Could it be you are seeing angels? They do not require airports to fly.

If you find that what you see cannot be tracked, I would suggest seeing a doctor. Pressure in the brain from anyurism or tumor, or hemmorage can cause people to believe they see lights where none actually exist.
A friend of mine had this happen when we were kids. She didn’t tell anybody she was seeing lights. One night her parents woke up and heard commotion. She was having a violent seizure. It was an anyurism. She was rushed to the hospital and saved. She could have died.
You don’t have to be nuts or on drugs to be seeing things.

As far as stars moving back and forth, it is likely an illusion. That does not mean you are crazy or doing drugs, but bright points of light surrounded by darkness, giving no form of reference, can lead to many illusions. Many have mistaken the illusion of motion of the planet Venus to be a UFO.

The idea of the flight tracker is a good one. Compare it to what you see flying in the sky near you. Keep in mind, they do not show all aircraft. Military flights are generally never shown. Small aircraft also are not always tracked. Not because they are on secret missions, but because they are not on standard flight plans or use some of the more modern radios that provide precise tracking. Airlines are on flight plans and most have the newest equipment.

@rklupka You live in San Antonio, which has many military bases in and around the city, including an Air Force Base. The military likes doing things on schedule,

Plus there is San Antonio International Airport, which has regularly scheduled flights.

I think you are just lucky to be seeing airplanes and helicopters doing their normal business.

Perhaps you could invest in some good binoculars or a telescope. It could be fun to pair those with with the flight scanner @CWOTUS suggested and do some sight seeing. Could be a hobby.

Most importantly don’t panic. There are people to take care of that if any suspicious things are happening.

Where do you live?

Sounds like normal air traffic to me. If your skies tend to be really clear at night, and the planes are flying at very high altitudes, it can look like slow moving stars. So, you don’t need to be near an airport to see this. The flight could be hundreds or thousands of miles from the airport it started at, or is landing at. Late at night red eye flights are quite common. This time of year is often clearer than the winter months. Maybe you are just looking to the heavens more recently. :)

I will add that I would keep a religious explanation as the last possibility. Not vecayse I’m antireluguon, but because I expect you to be more practical. Even the Vatican has possible miracles researched by scientists and medical professionals in modern day. They look for scientific explanations first.
