Where can I find overhead videos of specific highway through out the United States?

Preferably ones taken from a stationary position, like on an over pass looking down, like for traffic monitoring purposes. I’ve gone into a couple of state’s DOT websites, hoping for some sort of video library but no luck.

Any ideas, guys?

Working on that. But it’s real time. I’d rather see if I can find an archive of something so I can see traffic during rush hours.

You can use web.archive.org to find snapshots of old traffic web sites from times in the past, but it will only have a random smattering of entries throughout the year, but it does have some.

Here is an example where the camera works and shows the afternoon, but the map is showing 12:45am all clear.

I’m not sure they would be that useful if they are from couple years back or may be more. Real time would be more helpful don’t you think?

Did you search for “traffic cameras” or “live traffic cameras” and Department of Transport? It seems to bring up some results. Add the state as well eg Nebraska gives:

@imrainmaker Not necessarily. I don’t think traffic patterns vary that much from day to day, or even year to year, if you’re not going back more that 8 or 10 years.

I have @flutherother, but I’ll look at your link. Thanks.

Some one on FB dug up something similar to that for me @flutherother. Thanks.
