Yeah, I was cool. Like I said, I found my self next to Koyie in real estate class. Really great guy. Really nice. Super confident without being arrogant. He wasted no time letting us know he was retired from pro ball.
Of course, that night I came home and googled him and stumbled on that story.
The next morning I went in, sad down and said, “Lemme see your hand!”
I hadn’t even noticed it at that point. I looked at it, looked at the neat scaring, looked at him in disbelief and down at his hand again.
I looked up again and said ”....Dumbass.”
Koyie blinked then turned to the girl next to him and said, “Did she just call me a dumbass?”
When I saw his picture at the docs I was like, “Oh. Wow.”
I mentioned it to him and he said, “Yeah. That was a situation!”
I had a girl I made friends with there and have her still on FB. I tagged her in the post I made about Koyie. I also told her I sent an email to “Untold Stories of the ER.”
She said, ‘Oh, I hope they pick up on it!”
Then we wondered if we could be cheerleaders in the back ground if they did. So we made up cheers.
Mine was “One, two, three, four goooooooooo DUMBASS!!”
Hers was “One, two, three four don’t saw your fingers off stupid.”
Her’s was way better than mine! :D
