Best product for scanning double sided documents & photos?

I have had this dream of a truly paperless life for years now and I think I am ready to give it a shot.

I would love recommendations for a scanner that is capable of scanning double sided paper from a feed tray and produces reasonable images of photos.

My end goal is to deposit these files into Evernote & Google Photos.

Thanks!

I have never seen a scanner that does two-sided in one pass. Everything I have seen is two passes—even those super fancy Xerox and Canon document management devices do one side, put the papers in a tray, and auto-feed the second side.

And the cheapies make you turn the sheets over yourself. MY HP all-in-one, as good as it is, makes me flip the pages over to get the back side of each page.

Good luck.

I use a Visioneer Strobe 500 for work. It does duplex scanning in one pass (it has two scanning heads) as quickly as one side.

Pro:
Duplex scanning
High scan quality

Con:
Can’t scan books & such like a flatbed
The software isn’t the most friendly

In the past the Fuji ScanSnap products got great reviews, but I’ve never used one.
