Which is better and why? Suddenlink cable or Dish satellite?

Satellite has the problem of not being usable in rain or heavy cloudiness.

And the antenna needs a clear shot at the satellite—- trees and leaves will block the signal.

I would go with cable.

I’d go cable. Satellite cuts out during storms as mentioned by the jelly above me.

Are going to be using it for TV, InterWeb and phone? If the answer is yes to all three, cable is the way to go.

Yes; for all three. So the one and only reason we should do cable is the lack of power outages? I hate that because they will remove my DVR. and with it goes all my saved movies I want to watch over and over.

I have Dish and I have only lost the signal maybe 4 or 5 times a year. So if you live where you have a lot of snow or storms, it might be a consideration.

I have Dish and have lost the signal a dozen times a year. I almost cried thinking of losing “Summer of ‘42” and “Pretty Baby.” For starters.
