How can I MacGuyver a PA system?

I have been tasked with creating a PA system with a budget of 0 for an upcoming departmental training. I have the following equipment that I think will be of help: two laptops (one Windows, one Mac), two headset microphones (corded), a set of powerful computer speakers, lots of cords. Does anyone see a solution?

You’ll probably need a toothpick and a safety pin, but you could also have a look here for tips.

Check this out. If you can’t get that to work for your windows machine you could try using ventrilo/teamspeak on both computers and talk from to the other, outputting to speakers.

If you can’t understand that thread do this.

Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Audio Tab -> Sound Playback <volume> -> options -> properties. Scroll down and check the boxes for rear pink in. Select OK, and un-mute Rear Pink In in volume if it is. That worked for me and now my mic outputs to speakers.
