I wouldn’t go so far as to say I “own” any, but there are certainly topics where I will chime in every time (or close), and there are topics in which I would venture to say I bring a useful perspective that few or no other Fluther members can bring.
For medical questions, we have at least one jelly who is a physician, and his responses on those are invaluable. But in some cases, I can bring a patient perspective, which is a point of view that is different from the physician perspective and valuable in its own way. So I will chime in every time, if a fellow jelly has a question about digestive health, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, small bowel obstruction, colectomy, ileostomy, kidney stones, sepsis, pleurisy, or any other of the medical conditions I’ve had the joy to experience :).
As a fairly inexperienced but indeed professional software engineer / data engineer, I can often provide a useful perspective on questions related to that, whether technical in nature or about the culture of the field.
I also know quite a lot about healthcare politics, birds, and math, and tend to chime in on those questions.
