Are postal remailing services legal?

For example, if I took advantage of a service, mailed a letter to a random person in another state, and had them post my letter for me, so that it has a different postmark?

Don’t worry, I don’t have any nefarious or illegal plans. I just want to mail an anonymous letter. :)

Yes. Individuals ad companies use them all the time.

As long as the postage is paid then it’s perfectly okay.

We have a city to the north named Loves Park. The post office there advertises that service every year around Valentine’s Day.
