When on death row? Can you still get a last request? When did the swich happen from last request to last meal?

Last request – to have all charges dropped and to be set free.
I don’t think there were ever last requests other than last meal requests.

Sure their were. Some wanted a smoke. Go back far enough, and some last requests were like a will. Please notify so and so of my death. Send this letter to my wife, stuff like that.

Here’s a weird tidbit I know, but I don’t’t recall details. For his last meal one man requested a little boy. He was convicted of murdering and eating people.
Pretty sure he had to make do.
