A dear friend of mine had an abortion yesterday. It is not what she had planned for her life, but her birth control method failed, and her insurance had been dropped at least six months ago, and she had no full time work, and had only been in her current relationship for 4 months.

Just curious if any of you have have had an abortion (and are willing to talk about it) or if anyone you know has had an abortion, and how that affected them.

I’ve only known of 2 people, one acquaintence, and one close friend (as of yesterday) who have had (legal in CA) abortions. Both parties were relieved, as was I.
