There is?

SQUEEKY2's avatar

I have no idea, but lately it sure seems to be.

stanleybmanly's avatar

I might be wrong in this, but I sincerely hope that most of these “does he like me / how do I know I’m in love” questions are from kids. most of them stop by once or twice then vanish.

Dutchess_III's avatar

They’re just kids trolling about, hitting up random sites.

Mimishu1995's avatar

At one point I had a theory that some questions were asked by one person. Really, 3 questions in a row about the same topic? So far these topics have cropped up more than once: anxiety around a boy, Capricorn male, autism, a family member being weird. I’m starting to wonder if it’s the same kid trying to get some kind of validation…

Patty_Melt's avatar

Only some of them are teen girls.
The others are forty year old men looking for teen girls…
or boys.

SavoirFaire's avatar

[Mod Says] It’s all one person with several accounts. Multiple accounts are not against the rules, but doing certain things with them can be. As the user in question has started acting deceptively, their accounts have been closed.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Thanks @SavoirFaire. Now I understand what the Guppy award I saw earlier means :)

MrGrimm888's avatar

Mods to the rescue again! Thanks.

chyna's avatar

So, the pregnant teenager wasn’t real?

SavoirFaire's avatar

@chyna It’s impossible to say which of the questions this person asked were genuine (if any). What we know is they had opened around 20 different accounts, claimed to be several different ages, and occasionally changed their mind about their gender to defend/respond to themselves. So we know they were being deceptive, but we don’t know which bits might have been true.

Some of the jellies who responded to this person gave excellent advice, though. I think we’ll be leaving a few of the questions up just to preserve the truly thoughtful and empathetic responses they received for those who might be seeking genuine answers in the future.

P.S. We did offer this person a chance to stay on the site under one account, but they ignored our messages.

Mimishu1995's avatar

@SavoirFaire I think it was either a troll or an extremely entitled teen. She was the most defensive on the pregnant question, even coming to defense herself with another account. I remember her saying something like people should stop assuming and provide what the OP wanted.

I invented a background for her: She had a boyfriend but at the same time she was eyeing a Capricorn boy. And then she got pregnant and was trying to move out to run away with the child and go to bed with the Capricorn boy. But her family had sensed what was going on and was trying to get her to tell them what was wrong, but of course she didn’t like that, and invented stories about them being oppressive.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Ah. I’m starting to see the pattern to those wacky questions I’ve been seeing.

imrainmaker's avatar

I admire the trouble they go through for such things..)~

SavoirFaire's avatar

@Mimishu1995 “I think it was either a troll or an extremely entitled teen.”

Like I said, it’s impossible to know for sure with the information we have (and I didn’t want to say more than we know). But yeah, those are the most likely scenarios.

Kardamom's avatar

I’m glad you guys are leaving the Q’s up, because the answers that we gave were genuine. Even though the asker may have been a troll, or a person using multiple accounts, there are always other people who will come across this site, and these questions, and get some good advice. Kudos.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^That’s part of why I love this pond:)

rojo's avatar

@ucme.

rojo's avatar

@SavoirFaire

So, I can open another account, with one of my other personalities who prefers a different icon and handle and argue with myself in public? I did not know this. Thanks!

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes you can!

LadyMarissa's avatar

I got caught up in that person’s questions & felt their pain; so, my answers came directly from the heart in hopes of easing some pain. Now I’m feeling silly because I felt pain that wasn’t real although deep down I kinda knew but ignored “just in case”. One of the problems with the internet. It’s too easy to be tricked. Then again, IF you feel it, it’s real (at least for you it is)!!!

I also believe karma will bite you on the butt. Like a boomerang…what you put out there will come back tenfold!!!

MrGrimm888's avatar

^That’s the thing though. Just in case. I don’t mind pandering to a troll, if it might actually help someone. The small chance that the question is legitimate, is still worth gambling that there is a person in need.

LadyMarissa's avatar

I tend to assume the question is real & even IF it’s not, I’m sure that another person will come along that’s needing to hear our answers & afraid to ask the question.

MrGrimm888's avatar

Good approach. It may indeed help others.

SavoirFaire's avatar

@rojo No, you can’t. That would be considered deceptive. Having two accounts is one thing (sometimes people use the second one to ask personal questions they don’t want associated with their “main” account). Pretending to be two different people is another thing. Like I said, this person coming back under a different name to defend themselves was one of the things that got them banned.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^I support the decision (not that it matters.)

Like I’ve said a LOT, there’s a dress code, and a behavior code. Follow, or be shown the door. Period.

Good job Mods.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I already had my doubt, but it was a good chance to waste time :D

LadyMarissa's avatar

I also had my doubts; but, I allowed my “just in case” to override those doubts. I don’t see it as a waste of time IF there’s any chance that the one person truly needing our answers stumble upon them & have their own “ah-ha moment”.

Mimishu1995's avatar

@LadyMarissa I think you are think of “wasting time” too negatively… Maybe “passing time” is better.

rojo's avatar

@SavoirFaire That ain’t right. All five of my personalities have their own lives. Each should be entitled to their own account.

No they shouldn’t

Dammit, STFU! He is right we do need our own accounts.

You know, there is nothing deceptive about it. It is a legitimate concern and a wholly appropriate request that we each be allowed access to the work.

Um, I don’t know. Maybe, but is it ok if someone help me with my writing.

NO! STFU! I am not telling you again!

See what I have to go through… It would be so much easier if they could all be able to express themselves individually

Patty_Melt's avatar

You crack me up.

SavoirFaire's avatar

@rojo Hmmm… I see what you mean. I’ll ask Ben if we can get you an exemption. ~

LadyMarissa's avatar

@SavoirFaire I think @rojo should have their own category or should I say categories as it could be very entertaining!!!

@rojo Have you considered setting up a youtube channel??? I’ve seen people with a lot less personality than you make it big there!!! I do think I could find a reason to support your Patreon page!!!

MrGrimm888's avatar

I think this could be made right, with some restrooms just for @rojo . I would like one as well. Loli should definitely get one for just her too…

janbb's avatar

But my friend Jessie wants to know why she shouldn’t have sex with a man who owes her money, won’t pay and has a child by another woman he’s not married to? And why do you all think she might get pregnant if the condom breaks?

rojo's avatar

^^ your friend should have sex with every man she meets and then demand money, surely some would feel guilty enough to pay up, maybe even to the tune of 130k. And who is she to pass judgement on another woman who this man of sex is humping she isn’t married to him either and is also trying to tie him down with a child evidently but look, it didn’t work for her so don’t assume you can lasso this bronco! Finally, we did say she would get pregnant if the condom broke, that was only the case if it was not in her butt when it did, otherwise it’s just a mess.

SHUT UP! SHUT UP ALL OF YOU! Get back in the box, NOW!

Dutchess_III's avatar

I actually saw this on Quora: “Will squishing a woman’s breasts make her pregnant?”

rojo's avatar

Dear Abby says: it depends on what else you are doing while you are squishing

MrGrimm888's avatar

That’s not how it works Dutch. The guy pees, and the girl drinks it. I think. And that’s how babies are made…

SavoirFaire's avatar

Guys, come on. When a man and a woman love each other, they rub their penises together until a baby comes out. It’s not that difficult to understand. ~

^ This is 100% what my older brother told me when I was four or five years old.

Dutchess_III's avatar

ROFLOLL!!

MrGrimm888's avatar

LOL. It’s interesting just how ignorant humans are, about the most important aspect of our species’ survival. I was LOST about sex, as a kid. I was actually more confused after sex ed. I thought my testicles somehow detached and went in the girl. I was scared she might keep them, or I might lose them. And boy was I confused looking at my testicles, about how they would detatch. Or reattach!

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Talk about loosing your balls over some dame.^^^^

Dutchess_III's avatar

Mom explained it to me when I asked, when I was 5. I thought it was ridiculous! I couldn’t understand how it was actually possible. But about 10 years later I saw a stallion going after a mare and then a light bulb went off. “Oh! It gets hard!”

MrGrimm888's avatar

Yeah. There’s more to it than insert tab A, into slot B…

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, not really! That’s really about all there is to it.

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

~There’s also slot C and D~.

LadyMarissa's avatar

Hmmmm, I’d love to be a fly on the wall @RedDeerGuy1‘s house. I’ve never made it past Tab A & Slot B. Excuse me while I google Slot C & D!!! Be back in a little while (I hope)!!!

stanleybmanly's avatar

I bet you would change your mind given the option and 3 minutes to think about it.

MrGrimm888's avatar

Good ol’ slot C. Only on birthdays, and drunken occasions….

SergeantQueen's avatar

@RedDeerGuy1 what are they?

Dutchess_III's avatar

I think you just have to get down in the gutter to figure it out @SergeantQueen!

MrGrimm888's avatar

SQ. There is no orifice, that a man won’t pursue on a female’s body. That’s as PG as I can say that…

Dutchess_III's avatar

Hell. Sometimes it doesn’t even have to BE an orifice.

SergeantQueen's avatar

leaves the thread

SergeantQueen's avatar

Well, not only have we had a huuuuuuuuuuuge wave of spam,
we had an interesting user join today and get pissed off over her not understanding periods?

MrGrimm888's avatar

Others think it’s the same person, from before.

We’ll have to see what the mods say. That jelly claimed to be too young for our pond. Maybe she’ll be cast out….

LadyMarissa's avatar

I saw one other that my gut says is not what she pretends. After the last one, I’m watching closer & maybe even being a little paranoid.

MrGrimm888's avatar

Well. I always assume that a new jelly could be a fake. But I also offer genuine advice, just in case….

Patty_Melt's avatar

I don’t think she came back to any of her questions.

NomoreY_A's avatar

My head just exploded and I’m seeing double. And I’m not even drunk.

LadyMarissa's avatar

Maybe these young girls are drawn to Fluther because they receive serious, mature, honest, well thought out answers unlike other sites!!!

NomoreY_A's avatar

Or they’re looking for one of you more mature ladies to be a surrogate mommy. “Billy doesn’t ask me out any more mom, do I have acne issues?”

Dutchess_III's avatar

You guys….I think we determined that the recent “influx” was actually one user who was making multiple accounts.

SavoirFaire's avatar

@Dutchess_III That is correct.
