Do you ever dream guilt?

“Great Question” (4points)

My mom told me a few times about a dream she had when she was a little girl. I thought of it the other day, and realized, I don’t believe I have ever dreamed something because of guilt.
Apparently my mum liked pulling wings off of flies when she was little.
One night she dreamed she was at a hospital. She was led into a surgical room, and in there was giant flies wearing scrubs and masks.
She claims she never dewinged a fly again.

That obviously wasn’t a dream, but simply flies paying her a nocturnal visit. They grew tired of her shit, so burrowed into her brain and gave her that dream.

I don’t think I have. That’s kind of interesting.

As for your mom’s dream, I hope I can erase that picture from my brain. What would posses her to torture a living thing like that I don’t know.

@JLeslie I’ve been tortured by flies and mosquitoes enough that I can see how someone might feel like doing that. I never have though, because it just sounds disgusting.

Although I’ve been told it’s impossible, I’ve either had NO dreams or I don’t remember what they were when I awoke. I also never pulled the wings off flies. Sounds to me like your Mom had a guilty conscience that was trying to get her attention!!!

I have dreamed about sin (and being an active participant therein) many times.

Interestingly, never, ever about guilt. What does that say about me?

The worst I ever did for flies is trap then under glasses.

They can’t fly far enough

Zzt. Zzt. zt. zt. Zzt.

@elbanditoroso, I think I want to get to know you better.

I’ve had dreams around guilt, but they’re rarely if ever so direct. I’ve had some where I was guilty of awful crimes of sorts I’ve never done in real life, for example. Not sure why.

@Zaku, I’ve had some like that too. I feel like those are just a way of weighing our options, and reassuring ourselves why we don’t actually do any of those things.
