Is it as dangerous as looking at the sun in an eclipse? My sun is all red from the smoke, is it safe for me to stare into the sun?

Yes, it is dangerous. Not as dangerous as during an eclipse, but dangerous nonetheless.

It is NEVER safe to look at the Sun directly !

Please don’t look directly at the sun.

I get what you’re saying but I don’t think the smoke offers enough of a filter to protect your eyes if you look directly at the sun.
